The Love Parade
Gucci Aria campaign
As Gucci continues to celebrate its centenary year with plenty of disco-fuelled magic, designer brand hacking and camp debauchery, Alessandro Michele et al are (temporarily) waving goodbye to Milan and hello to Hollywood Boulevard for a collection titled The Love Parade, showing on the street outside the historic TCL Chinese Theatre (previously Grauman’s Chinese Theatre) 2nd November .
Inspired by Los Angeles’ rich cultural history of red carpets and star-studded sidewalks, Gucci wants to give back to the city in a big way by supporting an array of non-profits that tackle homelessness, mental health and support youth culture.
The initiative is a part of Gucci’s Changemakers program, powered by Gucci Equilibrium, which aims to spotlight the city’s many bustling creative industries that have suffered post-pandemic. Amongst the mix is YMCA Hollywood, SOLE FOLKS, Miley Cyrus’ Happy Hippie Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, which will receive up to $1 million in total grant support from the brand to generate positive change.
