Anyone that’s worked in the industry will know that fashion and drama go hand-in-hand. Confirming what we already knew are Balmain and Channel 4, who, as part of an unprecedented collaboration that debuts early next month, have partnered on a new short-form drama series. This innovative new collaboration will air from 2 September with five eight-minute episodes.

Fracture has been conceived by Michail Papadogkonas and Catherine Hope, written by Glenn Waldron and directed by LA-based directorial duo Bradley & Pablo. Overseen by former Channel 4 Drama Commissioning Editor, Lee Mason (whose resume includes recent gems like It’s A Sin and The End of the F***ing World), the mini-series looks to have a teen-focus, with stars Tommy Dorfman, Ajani Russell and Charles Melton, who have all previously appeared in coming-of-age dramas 13 Reasons Why, Skate Kitchen and Riverdale, respectively.

Olivier Rousteing, Balmain’s creative director, has also contributed to the project, with the cast’s wardrobe featuring a range of Balmain’s Fall 2021 designs throughout each episode. Available to stream world-wide on Fracture‘s co-branded website, the joint project could be at the vanguard of a new era of collaboration in fashion.

Watch Fracture from 2 September here.
