Frank Ocean launches his own luxury fashion line

Three years in the making, Frank Ocean has launched his own luxury fashion line, Homer.

Inspired by “childhood obsessions” and “heritage as fantasy”, the 25-piece line has been revealed in a Tyrone Lebon-photographed catalogue. Using materials such as 18K gold, recycled sterling silver, hand-painted enamel and American lab-grown diamonds, pieces include bracelets, chains, diamond rings, tongue rings, dice-shaped earrings and cartoonish pendant characters. And what’s more, Frank also teases an upcoming Prada collaboration.

In an interview with the Financial Times, Ocean said he chose the company’s name because “Homer is considered the father of history and history is meant to endure – the same as diamonds and gold – and I know Homer used papyrus, but I’ve always liked the idea of carving history into stone.”

The obvious question: where can you buy everything? Only in New York currently, at a Homer shop at 70-74 Bowery – appointments can be made online. Keep your eyes peeled for more info, and hopefully international sales.
