With a career extending over 40 years and a hugely varied filmography that includes documentary, music videos and TV shorts as well as feature films, Wenders is an undisputed master of European cinema. From Paris, Texas (1984) to Wings of Desire (1987), Buena Vista Social Club (1999) and Pina (2011), the director’s signature eye for arresting imagery is closely connected to his career-long interest in photography. For Ferragamo’s new campaign, Wenders will delve into both mediums, directing a short film shot on location in Milan alongside a portfolio of stills.

Starring Italian actor Gaia Grace and Swedish singer Felix Sandman, the upcoming short titled, Future Positive, presents a tale within a tale, weaving a love story between competing realities of fact and fiction. Dates for the arrival of the campaign have not yet been unveiled but here to whet your appetite until then are a series of stills starring Wenders and the film’s two leads on location in Milan.
