Anthony Vaccarello has commissioned renowned film director Jim Jarmusch (Stranger Than Paradise, Coffee and Cigarettes, Down By Law) to create a short film for the house. Titled French Water and described as a “dreamy, surreal ballet,” the film boasts a Hollywood-calibre cast: Charlotte Gainsbourg, Indya Moore, Julianne Moore, Chloë Sevigny and Leo Reilly.

“The dinner party is over. A lone waiter is watching guests search for Charlotte. The echoes of their whispers multiply,” reads the accompanying release. “Mysterious, elusive Charlotte keeps disappearing, and reappearing. Tangled until creating a form of vertigo, space and time spin beautifully. Into eternity.” Here, mirrored doors reflect false realities as characters appear and disappear, their clothes constantly changing. In Jarmusch’s signature style, characters meet in surreal exchanges and time is no longer linear.

The film is soundtracked by Remainder, a track by Noveller, the solo project of LA guitarist Sarah Lipstate, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre‘s Anemone: in a 2014 HERO Remainder, a track by Noveller, the solo project of LA guitarist Sarah Lipstate, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s Anemone: in a 2014 HERO interview with the band’s frontman Anton Newcombe, he described Jarmusch as “Jim is one cool mother-fucker. Mad respect for that guy on many levels.”
