double trouble

Loewe’s FW20 publication: Fumiko Imano, Chiara Mastroianni and a vintage Porsche
Fashion | 3 September 2020

Loewe and Japanese doppelganger artist Fumiko Imano have teamed up once more. Their sixth collaboration brings a new series of images featuring Chiara Mastroianni, the French actress, singer and daughter of Catherine Deneuve, who is shot in the familiar setting of Paris’ Maison de l’UNESCO.

Pulling up in a vintage convertible Porsche, and dressed in head-to-toe key outerwear pieces from the Fw20 collection, Mastroianni certainly looks the part. If the black mocca napa leather doesn’t shout ‘seasoned bureaucrat’, then the Balloon bag on the hood and oversized, tweed trench cloak with a raised collar certainly do. Flanked by Imano’s double act, the project follows previous collaborations between the Japanese artist and Loewe talent, including Saskia De Brauw, Liya Kebede, Amber Valletta, Kaia Gerber and Fei Fei Sun.

Styled by Benjamin Bruno and with art direction from M/M Paris, Publication #32 will take the form of a cloth-bound, limited-edition volume limited to a run of 1200 copies.
