Saint Laurent launches a beachside project celebrating surf culture
Fashion | 2 September 2020

It’s surf season in the south of France and Anthony Vaccarello is taking Saint Laurent to ride some waves. Setting up shop on the surfer’s paradise that is the beach of Les Estagnots in Seignosse, the designer is launching Dawn Patrol, an exclusive project designed to promote surf culture.

Here, between September 4th – 6th, the Parisian fashion house will be selling an exclusive range of specially-designed products that includes – you know it – some very rad Saint Laurent-branded surfboards. Integrating themselves with the location, the project also carries onto the neighbouring beachside restaurant La Cabane des Estagnots and will include a beach cleaning operation organised with local associations in partnership with Ocean52.

Not the first time Saint Laurent has ventured into surfboards – the house released a limited edition range of 80 boards to mark its SS16 Surf Sound collection under former creative director Hedi Slimane – here’s your chance to either add to your collection or replace the previous if it’s a little worse for wear.
