Stone Island has released its Autumn Winter ‘020 ‘021 collection – “[an] ongoing exploration of contemporary men’s luxury”. Taking the building blocks of menswear and evolving them into new interpretations, the Italian brand has utilised its innovative design and technology expertise.

Here, this ethos manifests across an innovative take on ghillie camouflage. Historically worn by Scottish gamekeepers as portable hunting blind, here the netting’s mimetic patterns are recreated on a lightweight anorak using 3D-effect laser printing to erode the dyeing colours. Elsewhere, the brand’s totally monochromatic Ghost pieces are given a new season spin: an incredibly light leather with stretch nylon down is paired with a delicate polyester organza, while a double rubberised satin has been developed by laminating two layers of special military-origin cotton satin.

Digging deeper into the collection, suede sheepskin is hand sprayed for a cloudy effect and classic knitwear is finessed via hybrid construction, combining elements of outerwear and sweaters with great aplomb.
