Last Friday night, Kenzo officially launched its #stayathomewithKENZO project with an intimate, live-streamed gig by musician Aliocha. Conceived by creative director Felipe Oliveira Baptista to “inspire optimism and creativity”, the series will see a group of the brand’s close friends and collaborators come together to entertain fans, and use their talents to make lockdown a little more bearable.

The project will follow a weekly format: a playlist on Monday (today’s also comes courtesy of Aliocha), a workshop on Wednesday, a live-streamed gig on Friday and a conversation over the weekend. New names will be posted each week to Instagram, alongside time-slots and information on how to tune in.

This week will see Paris-based artist Frédérique Daubal give a printing masterclass on Wednesday, inspiring viewers to get crafty and giving insight into her work – which, incidentally, is all about finding pockets of fantasy in everyday life. Then on Friday, Mona Matsuoka will ring in the weekend with a live set. Not only is Matsuoka a renowned model, she’s also a DJ with a beautiful voice of her own.

Michel Gaubert, one of the best-known sound directors in the fashion industry, will wrap up this week’s program with a Q+A, which promises to offer more insight into what really goes down behind-the-scenes at a fashion show. You know what to do: log on, and get ready to #stayathomewithKENZO.

Events can be live-streamed through Kenzo’s Instagram.
