Fresh decks
When Fendi teamed with artist Joshua Vides for a Harrods pop-up last year, the collaboration birthed custom skateboards, emblazoned with the iconic, interlocking ‘FF’ logo. Now, the brand has continued its four-wheel experimentations with a newly-announced “innovative surf skate” board that simulates the movements of surfing yet on the road – perfect for sea-starved city-dwellers – alongside the house’s latest Leisurewear collection.

It’s a fun addition to the new range that draws primarily from basketball and athletics – but there is a Fendi yoga ball in there, too. Baggy, oversized shorts and vests come in black with flashes of the signature Fendi yellow, whereas camo running tights and long-sleeve tees come with ultra-functional extras, like earphone loops and detachable sleeves. High-top, puffy-tongued trainers round off the new line, set to launch this July.
As always, technical fabrics and a modern slant define the collection. This future focus is fast becoming a priority of creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi, who this season teamed with Anrealage designer Kuchiniko Morinaga on a series of light-sensitive, colour-changing looks. Basically, innovation is the focus: and we’re ready to surf that wave.
The Fendi Men’s Leisurewear Collection will be available in July 2020.
