Still, ‘Mid90s’ (2018) dir. Jonah Hill

Earlier this year Jonah Hill dropped a trailer for his directorial debut, Mid90s. Set in the LA skate scene in the 90s, the film tells the story of a teenager named Stevie, played by newcomer Sunny Suljic.

With the US release date set for the 19th of October in the USA, Jonah Hill has dropped a special Spotify collaborative playlist to accompany the movie, billed as “the first ever Official Motion Picture Playlist.”

“The music in Mid90s is incredibly personal to me,” said Hill in a statement, “The film was written and shot to these specific tracks, many of which were so important to my own life growing up.” Featuring the likes of Nirvana, A Tribe called West, Pixies, GZA, Misfits and more – it’s a playlist for all you 90s kids out there and the perfect excuse to dig out those bucket hats, Buffalo shoes and tattoo sleeves (as if you haven’t already).
