Last month Anthony Vaccarello announced the launch of a new Saint Laurent art project, titled Self. Here, the designer taps specific artists to “capture different aspects of the Saint Laurent personality, underlining the complexity of various individuals.”

The project kicked off with an exhibition by renowned Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama, featuring images of the Saint Laurent FW18 taken by Moriyama in Japan. Now, for the second part of the project – Self 02 – Saint Laurent have worked with Italian contemporary performance artist Vanessa Beecroft for a series of large-scale portraits set to be presented in Miami at Design District from 1st – 15th of December during Art Basel. The photo wall curated by Anthony Vaccarello will be presented at Museum Garage and Paradise Plaza.

Taken against the vivid backdrop of the Saint Laurent SS19 show (remember? With the sparkling Eiffel Tower, white palm trees and infinity pool runway), the models stand in formation. Clad in black bodysuits, they appear as a tableau vivant, standing parallel to the iconic Parisian monument.
