50/50
Drawing together 50 leading artists from across the globe, London clothing brand Everpress have teamed up with Amnesty International on a new limited edition t-shirt drop.
Asking each artist to explore the theme of censorship, the project focuses on artwork addressing issues from mass surveillance and cyber-censorship to more local injustices such as the questionable media coverage of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

“Censorship is just borders and walls being built. Walls should be dismantled and border lines, both physical and mental, will limit new ideas and remove so many friendship possibilities.” – Bjenny Montero.
With a line-up including photographer and HERO contributor Dexter Navy, London designer Liam Hodges and Melbourne-based artist and musician Bjenny Montero – who has previously been commissioned for merchandise by Mac Demarco and Kurt Vile – the collection sales will be split 50/50 between the individual artists and Amnesty International, the worlds largest grassroots human rights organisation, investigating and exposing abuses around the world.
The t-shirts are to be displayed at London’s Protein Studios, Shoreditch, on Thursday 31st May, before going on sale at everpress.com/5050 until 28th June. Each t-shirt will retail at £25.
