On 14th January Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy will unveil a new collection in Yekaterinburg, the fourth-largest city in the country and home to Central Stadium, one of the venues for the controversial 2018 World Cup.

Having previously showcased in St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad, the designer is taking his interest in football culture and electronica to the eastern part of his homeland, celebrating Russia’s rich history in sports. Getting into the World Cup spirit early, the FW18 collection will see Gosha team up with adidas Football. Titled adidas Football x Gosha Rubchinskiy Season II, the collection revisits the pair’s FW17 collaboration.

We are yet to find out whether Gosha will continue his collaboration with the American eyewear brand Retrosuperfuture, but the show is set to marry fashion and sports in that typically Gosha-ified manner communicating the youth culture tropes at the heart of his brand.
