‘Tis the season
Christmas is tearing towards us at a rate of knots and your headspace feels about as chill and collected as a turkey at 200 celsius. We feel you. But allow us to step in and save you some vital hours in the Christmas shopping rush via some epic present ideas from some of our favourite people.
First up, London designer Philip Ellis. A rising star on the London scene, the CSM-graduate’s designs paint a vivid and vibrant picture of Britishness – as filtered through Ellis’ experiences and nostalgia. Cue a mash-up of subcultural tropes, rebellious undertones, digs at political and corporate oppression and an unconventional debonair bent à la Westwood.
Sharing his very own personal Xmas wish list, Ellis gives us a little insight into his own taste – new pants, a shearling coat and Crocs? That’s quite the outfit, Philip. You sure you’ve got room in the wardrobe?

“It’s festively frumpy, funky and flirty. Christmas Bailey has really hit the nail on the head with this lovely knit piece from the SS18 Burberry collection. To be teamed with layers for midnight mass or stripped down for a sexy office-party look, this fun bundle of yarn will have you questioning whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year.”

Les Girls Les Boys jersey briefs – 3 pack
“It’s the time of year to replenish your knicker stock. Serena Rees’ new underwear line Les Girls Les Boys offers you an alternative to having an old man’s name woven into the waistband of your pants. Simple and sexy.”
Miu Miu eco shearling coat
“Another year, another Christmas? Fool your relatives into thinking you’re still youthful and fresh in this delightfully childlike eco-shearling coat. Eco-shearling just means it’s made of Acrylic. Please avoid any naked flames.”
Christopher Kane slip-on Crocs clogs

Philip Ellis’ Marathon’ t-shirt
“Oh wow, what an amazing t-shirt and how reasonably priced! I’ll take five!”

Blonde Solace medallion necklace
“Saint Christopher was a Christian martyr killed in the reign of the 3rd century Roman Emperor Decius. He also features on this delightful little charm to wear around your neck.”
