Fred Perry: watch Miles Kane get personal with The Horrors’ Rhys Webb
By Undine Markus | Fashion | 13 November 2017

Tomorrow, Fred Perry will launch an exclusive capsule line in collaboration with musician Miles Kane – known for his solo career and as a member of The Last Shadow Puppets.

To mark the drop, here we exclusively present a special short film featuring a conversation between Miles and Rhys Webb from The Horrors, where the pair meet in a south-east London café and muse over everything from green room secrets to record collecting.

Having grown up in the north of England and now residing in LA, the musician assembled influences from both sides of the pond for his first product collaboration with the British sports and streetwear brand.

Celebrated for his bold and distinctive style as much as for his music, Kane is a longtime wearer of Fred Perry and was chosen as one of the faces of the brand’s 2017 Subculture campaign imagery.

A fan of the brand since his childhood years, the Liverpudlian created a limited edition of UK-made garments and footwear, including a remake of Perry’s functional signature shirts with a simple and streamlined silhouette.

Reimagining the staple pieces with his own sharp, retro-inspired styling and luxe fabrics, the collection serves as a nod to the European 1970s subcultures, a constant inspiration of the brand and Kane’s creative direction.

The iconic collaboration boasts lush velour, knits and wovens in white, sky blue, navy and black. The stand-out pieces include a velour tracksuit, designed with Miles’ slim- t silhouette, gold zips and Laurel Wreath embroidery, and the original Fred Perry table tennis shoe in perforated white leather.
