Bottega Veneta will show its FW18 collection during New York Fashion Week as a special one-time event to mark the openeing of its new NYC flagship store.

Located at 64th Street and Madison Avenue, the space will be the brand’s biggest retail space in the world, boasting an impressive 15,000 square feet of selling space spread over four floors. And the opening sees the brand come full circle, back in 1972 the brand’s first store outside Italy was opened in Manhattan at 655 Madison Avenue, just across the street from the new store.

Usually showing in Milan, the Venetian fashion house’s move to the Big Apple follows a big year for the brand, having celebrated its 50th anniversary as well as fifteen years under the creative directorship of Tomas Maier.

The SS18 show will feature both menswear and womenswear, after the house opted for the co-ed format in FW17.
