The nominations are in for this year’s British Fashion Awards and it’s looking like a tight contest. The annual event is a highlight of the British fashion calendar, celebrating talent across nine categories.

A highly acclaimed accolade, the British Emerging Talent award is presented to nascent designers making a wave on the scene. This year the menswear award is between HERO 18-featured duo Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty – nominated for their brand Cottweiler – Charles Jeffrey, Henry Holland, Phoebe English and Samuel Ross of A-COLD-WALL*. While Faustine Steinmetz and Matty Bovan are both up for the womenswear equivalent.

For the British Menswear Designer award, Craig Green and Grace Wales Bonner (having both previously taken home the Emerging Talent award) join Burberry’s Christopher Bailey, Martine Rose and J.W.Anderson (who is also up for the British Womenswear Designer of the Year) on the bill. Elsewhere, Raf Simons is nominated for Designer of the Year, up against Maria Grazia Chiuri, Phoebe Philo, Alessandro Michele and Jonathan Anderson.

Last year’s inaugural Urban Luxe Brand Award returns with nominations including Supreme, Gosha Rubchinskiy, Vetements and Off-White.

The winners will be announced at the Royal Albert Hall on 4th December. Check back here for updates.
