Designer denim brand G-Star Raw has just released its FW17 campaign featuring a diverse group of creative talents discussing their interpretations of the new line.

Fronted by Pharrell Williams, musician, producer and also G-Star Raw’s co-owner and Head of Imagination, the campaign’s line-up includes Adwoa Aboah, Jean Campbell and Lennon Gallagher alongside other unique individuals, all of whom have reputations for speaking out for their passions.

“For this campaign we specifically chose outspoken individuals with their own sense of style,” says Williams. “The energy that happened when this talented group of people”

G-Star is a symbol of innovation and endures as one of the most recognisable jeans in history. It is exactly this sentiment that is brought to the fore in their latest campaign.

Photographed by Collier Schorr, the campaign features Adwoa Aboah, a world renowned model, founder of Gurls Talk – a multimedia platform creating a safe space for young women to share their stories – and an international advocate for mental health alongside her sister Kesewa and fellow models Jean Campbell, India Graham and Brooke Perry. Scottish actor and campaigner Connor Newall and Lennon Gallagher, model and son of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher also star in the campaign.

“Being in a campaign that brought together people from different backgrounds with diverse looks and let them be themselves in a classic piece of clothing really appealed to me,” Aboah explained. “Also, the message of the campaign – to be comfortable with yourself and tolerant of those around you – resonated with me. It’s a positive starting point for a conversation about accepting yourself and others.”
