“This year’s selection clearly illustrates the existence of a truly international fashion, beyond borders,” said Delphine Arnault, vice president at LVMH. “I wish all the finalists good luck: it will be hard for the jury to decide between them during the final on 16th June. I also wish to congratulate the semi-finalists for their involvement and their genuine enthusiasm.”
Now in its fourth edition, the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, has seen a record-breaking 1,200-plus applications from all over the world. To facilitate this huge drive, the prize committee enlisted a 40-strong panel of experts and jurors. In the coming months, the finalists will present their work to global editors, business leaders and designers to determine who takes home the 300,000-euro prize. The winner (or winners) will be announced on 16th June at the Foundation Louis Vuitton in Paris.
