Saint Laurent Rive Droite, the French fashion house’s experimental concept store, is embracing the wonders of the outside world in a new, green-fingered collaboration with Brooklyn-based botanical studio WIFE.

Sophie Parker, founder and Creative Director of the aforementioned studio, has built an illustrious career out of such striking floral experiments. We’re talking lavish, exotic leaves painted in symbols from a deck of cards, or striking bouquets with imposing feathers given bright, gradient makeovers. As both a painter and visual artist, Parker’s work endeavours in challenging notions of the ‘natural’, using a variety of materials and eye-catching colour palettes that proved enrapturing to Saint Laurent’s Anthony Vaccarello.

Fusing her artistry with Saint Laurent’s house codes, particularly the label’s penchant for architecture and all things monochrome, the brand’s Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles will play host to an array of Parker’s plant-based artworks in their respective shop fronts and floor spaces.

Here, Parker’s immersive floral arrangements take on a life of their own, in spindly gothic forms and a multitude of gargantuan Monstera leaves. Some are arched back and hand-painted with black marble textures. Others, like Parker’s bright blue Anthurium’s are erected totally upright, emerging from a floor-to-ceiling forest in the visage of an enchanting butterfly, finally breaking free from the sanctity of the cocoon.
