Ready for wooing

In keeping with his design impulse, Anthony Vaccarello is taking a deep and dark approach to Valentine’s Day, recruiting renowned photographer and subcultural documenter Derek Ridgers for a special Saint Laurent exhibition and RTW collection.

Taking place at Saint Laurent’s Rive Droite locations in Paris and LA, an exclusive selection of Ridgers’ photographs will be on display featuring snogging couples – a scene that has become ten times more erotic post-Covid. These images will also be printed across a fanzine and selection of ready-to-wear pieces available for purchase.

Meanwhile, Vaccarello has a few more gifts in store, quite literally, as for those who drop by either shop on Valentine’s Day will be able to pick up a bouquet of 1 or 15 black baccara roses by Parisian florist, Castor, wrapped in matte ivory white paper and sealed with a black ribbon and complimentary condom.

Really knowing how to spoil us, Vaccarello has also curated an exclusive selection of chocolate from La Maison Du Chocolat, with heart shell chocs in a mix of milk and dark truffles and glazed chestnuts. And what goes with flowers and chocolate? An 18-karat yellow gold necklace and sterling silver charm necklace. Swoon.
