Hidden tongues

Continuing on from the Californian attitude of last season was an unstructured perspective for SS15.

‘Relaxed’ was the order of the day: classic menswear shapes, reinterpreted for today’s sports-savvy dresser. Sealed-up zips were simultaneously decorative and functional, curving around bomber necklines and adding ease to silhouettes via open layered side seams.

The show notes also spoke of Roman classicism as a strong influence, largely expressed via marble and sandstone colourways. This was a continuation of the mission statement Barrett is gradually constructing – one that speaks in few words, its effortlessness a hidden language of its own.
