Having showed her inaugural fashion week show as part of Fashion East last season, Supriya Lele is quickly coming into her own. With a natural progression from the blush romance of her FW17 static presentation to her debut catwalk this season.

That shift to catwalk proved crucial, as the beauty of movement interplayed with the lo-fi modernity informed by Lele’s Indian heritage. Having developed plasticised, hand-printed organzas and crepe materials, a synthetic feel fused with the traditional wrapping of a the sari, rendered in shocking pink and a smokey-sheer black.

Jewellery occasionally dripped from the ears and found themselves tangled around the waist or upper arm as thin silvery belts, armbands and anklets.
