“Alternative luxury” is a self-ascribed phrase that summarises exactly what DSquared2 is all about. Toronto-born brother’s Dean and Dan Caten have been treating the fashion world to their outlandish aesthetic for well over a decade now, and this season, their flamboyant vision was informed by the wild west.

The design duo’s co-ed collection, which was fronted by the likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid, served as a sensuous take on cowboy style. Standout prints, lashings of leather and ostentatious accessories are typical of a DSquared2 collection, and all three were in abundance here.

Swapping out last season’s Hawaiian florals and leopard prints, tartan and cowhide permeated the line. Cowboy shirts complete with detailed Bolo ties were worn under extravagant Mongolian fur coats, while shearling jackets were teamed with authentic, distressed denim pieces. But it was the embellished, oversized belts and all-over sequin neckties that truly encapsulated the pair’s vision of a refined rodeo.
