The Andam award-winning Alexandre Mattiussi softened up the runway for the summer season, crafting a delicate, city-inspired collection in a palette of pastels, complimented by more muted hues and woven with an array of traditional patterning.

The models exuded an aura of cool – characteristic of the kind of Parisian chic thats innate to Mattiussi’s line – and came dressed in a relaxed-fit, pleated trouser in shades of walnut, flint, cobalt and indigo. The outerwear was classic and cut to create a slim silhouettes, effortless in their simplicity. Mattiussi’s varied utilisation of a sport-esque check print was of particular charm, mingling the evident influence of Paris with a touch of British elegance. Apt, considering Mattiussi’s recent opening of a first London flagship.

AMI is still a young project but is quickly blossoming, fashioning a consistently sleek identity through Mattiussi’s distinctly Parisian lens.
