A celebration of food that’ll put you off your food forever, UK artist Maisie Cousins’ latest exhibition – titled Dipping Sauce – immerses the viewer inside a world of oozing, gloopy, slimy hyper-saturated macro images of excess. Taking inspiration from the West London area where she grew up and portraying the “aftermath of gluttony”, here Cousins is commenting on our obsessive with overconsumption, especially in contrast to others in the world who struggle to survive day to day.

“I am fascinated by the restrictions of food outside of cosmopolitan areas and the extreme opposite – mass choice in cities,” Maisie said of the series. “What I will be exploring with photography and video is waste, overindulgence, decay and the universal language of food imagery.”

100 percent worth a visit, although we advise eating beforehand if you don’t want your appetite cut short.
