Just when you thought UGG’s collaboration repertoire couldn’t get any better, they’ve gone and dropped a JW Anderson partnership. In recent years, the Southern California-based lifestyle brand has teamed up with the likes of Palace Skateboards, Willy Chavarria, sacai, Gallery Dept. and Collina Strada on a string of sell-out collaborations. This most recent pairing sees the brand collaborate with JW Anderson for the first time, reimagining iconic UGG silhouettes, the Classic Boot and Tasman, in the playful design principles of Jonathan Anderson’s world. “UGG boots are instantly recognisable, and I was interested in seeing something so familiar through the lens of JW Anderson. For me, collaboration is about experimentation, bringing two distinct points of view together and seeing where that leads,” said the designer.
The accompanying campaign stars musician and producer Dev Hynes, creating a series of images that revel in everyday simplicity, exploring the domestic rituals of getting dressed or relaxing in the quietness of home comforts. Inspired by the signature JW Anderson loafer, both silhouettes are crafted with a rounded toe and box-stitching. Arriving in three distinct shades, both the Loafer and Loafer Boot are available in chestnut, khaki and orange, as the familiar silhouette is reconfigured through a new lens. Whether you’re just lounging at home in your JW x UGG loafers or you plan on wearing them to the office in winter, we’re expecting these to be one of the brand’s fastest-selling collabs yet – see you in the checkout queue.
