Original Icon
Few footwear silhouettes are as iconic as the adidas Superstar, standing the test of time since its debut release in 1969. The style has been redefined and recontextualised by each generation that follows, transformed in partnership with various designers and worn by everyone from kids in skate parks to high-profile A-listers. Celebrating the design’s legacy, adidas’ latest campaign brings together leading names in sport, music and film, including Stormzy, Jude Bellingham, Barry Keoghan, Olivia Dean, and Florian Wirtz.
Shot entirely in black and white, the visuals are an ode to the Superstar’s original colourway, returning this season in two monochromatic editions. As well as the Three Strips on foot, each talent showcases a re-edition of the Firebird tracksuit, which was first introduced in 1967. Originally created for basketball, the archive silhouettes have been adopted and adored by streetwear pioneers for the past five decades, remaining a steadfast emblem of popular culture.
