When asked what his favourite colour is, Marc Jacobs replies – “shiny.” And if you need proof of this, just take a stroll to Covent Garden and gaze upon Jacobs’ huge, shiny box. The entirely mirrored box is actually Marc Jacobs’ first-ever UK pop-up store.
Impossible to miss, the specially designed pop-up is a “full-throttle expression of the season’s high-shine codes.” The space offers a variety of limited edition accessories and serves as the exclusive destination for the new crystal canvas mini tote bag, as well as showcasing the brand’s new resort collection, which was recently teased in a campaign featuring Kim Kardashian.
Within the store, mannequins are dressed in bedazzled kiki boots and corsets, whilst a curated selection of small leather goods and jewellery completes the assortment.
The pop-up is open until December 3rd and is complimented by a takeover of Covent Garden Underground Station and a 3D immersive experience at Tottenham Court Road Station.
