Continuing one of the most successful modern fashion collaborations, Adidas and Wales Bonner are back with their FW23 collection. Staying true to the designer’s ongoing exploration of athletic codes, the collection reimagines Adidas’ sporting legacy through a selection of refined and elegant archival looks. Mahogany browns and sand-coloured nylons give a uniquely 70s flavour to this collection, which includes a new take on the hugely popular Samba trainers. A duo of trainer silhouettes incorporate faux pony-hair uppers and gum soles – one in leopard print, the other in a light tan – while another set features suede overlays and signature contrast stitching.

Marking a departure from previous seasons, the campaign visuals swap evocative landscapes for a minimalist studio setting. Accompanying the images are a set of short interviews and vignettes, with the campaign cast answering interview questions hosted by playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris.
