Autry bring their new Reelwind sneakers to London with a Denzel Curry gig

US footwear brand Autry today launch a special East London pop-up. What’s more, collaborating with NTS Radio, they’ve brought renowned US musician to town for a totally free gig at EartH Hackney tomorrow.

Combining the worlds of fashion, music and culture, the location marks the release of Autry’s new Reelwind sneakers, translating the brand’s 80s heritage aesthetic with modern styling and design – maintaining that vintage feel for maximum authenticity. Inspired by classic running shoes, the Reelwind is built with a streamline suede silhouette and super lightweight rubber Phylon outsole. Adopting a minimalist style ideal for that everyday go-between of formal and casual, the sneaker is accented with the brand’s signature A-arrow sole detail and American flag logo.

Originally founded in 1982 by Jim Autry in Dallas, Texas, the brand focused on tennis, running and aerobic style trainers, translating these sporting references into footwear that works just as well off the sports fields as on – becoming known as ‘the shoe with the American flag’. Today, Autry continues to innovate, staying true to those heritage values while promoting a world of cultural exchange.
