Want, want, want
For Gucci‘s fall 2022 show, Alessandro Michele sent us wild, revealing a collaboration with sporting megabrand adidas. Through the designer’s unique lens, this unique team-up manifested as retro, camp sports garb crafted with whimsy and optimism.
Three months later, the drop details are here alongside a colourful lookbook that places the collection in a vibrant Carlijn Jacobs-photographed world inspired by the patina of archival fashion catalogues. Here, models lunge and pose against colour-block backgrounds, fully clad in the collection’s distinctive geometric prints, retro silhouettes and Three-Stripe tailoring. And the star that grounds the whole collection: the adidas Gazelle. It’s well-known that Michele is an avid collector of the sneaker, and here he offers his own interpretation, Gucci-fied.
Now, here’s the important bit to mark on your calendar: the entire collection will launch on 7th June 2022, and for all you crypto geeks, you’ll soon be able to buy Gucci with cryptocurrency. See the full campaign imagery below.
