See Loewe’s adventurous collaboration with performance brand On

Continuing his adventurous streak, Jonathan Anderson‘s latest venture sees Loewe collaborate with Swiss performance brand On, designing a limited-edition capsule collection fit for the modern explorer.

A first glimpse of the collaboration actually came via Anderson’s Loewe FW22 womenswear show last week, when the designer was spotted in a pair of sneakers from the collaboration: a Loewe-d version of On’s signature Cloudventure performance shoe in gradient blue. Offered alongside the Cloudrock, a lightweight speed-hiking boot, both footwear styles are built using On’s trademark technologies as well as a recycled polyester upper, hand-pressed marbled outsoles, brass eyelets and a matte or iridescent mudguard. All clothing is cast in gradient effects that simulate prolonged exposure to the elements, alongside hand-needlework that resembles the kind of starry night you gaze upon when camping in the great outdoors.

Formed on notions of artisan craft, sustainability and technical design, the collection also offers ready-to-wear pieces for men and women, including weather adaptable running pants, a moisture-wicking waterproof anorak, temperature regulating Performance-T t-shirts and a unisex customisable insulation three-layer parka.

Spotlighting the collection is a campaign shot by long-time Loewe collaborator Gray Sorrenti on location in Carmel-by-the-Sea and Big Sur, California, starring actress and model Camila Morrone and recording artist Duckwrth backdropped by the dramatic landscape of the West Coast.

The collection launches 9th March on loewe.com and on-running.com, and in selected Loewe stores on 10th March.
