Indigo Lewin’s intimate moments of tenderness fill Saint Laurent’s new publication

Anthony Vaccarello has launched a Saint Laurent publication, FANZINE, created with the intention of platforming nascent creative talent.

The inaugural issue taps British artist and photographer Indigo Lewin as guest editor, curating the issue with an exclusive selection of images plucked from her archive. These visuals are accompanied by Lewin’s writing and personal notes, creating an intimate, diaristic narrative.

Photographing those closest to her, Lewin’s practice is an intimate and honest documentation of tenderness and emotion. Capturing intimate moments between friends, strangers, lovers, fleeting moments are caught, treasured and elevated through Lewin’s filter: glimpses of naked, tattooed skin are paired with bursts of cherry blossom and city signs that double as subjective messages. Having studied at The International Center of Photography in New York, Lewin later worked with curator Antonia Marsh at her Girls Only NYC residency programme. She has since exhibited her work in London, Paris, India and Japan, working across different mediums and often releasing her imagery via handmade zines.

Alongside FANZINE, Lewin’s work is currently being exhibited at Saint Laurent Rive Droite Paris and Los Angeles stores.
