Today is World Oceans Day, an annual event that highlights the devastating impact of human actions on the ocean. Doing their bit, Paris-based brand Phipps have partnered with international NGO Oceanic Global on a series of t-shirts calling for change, printed with their message loud and clear: “Save The Fucking Whales”. Fifteen percent of all webshop sales in June will go towards ocean preservation.

“I fucking love the ocean, and would like to get everyone excited about taking care of it,” says founder and creative director Spencer Phipps who founded his label in 2017 on the principles of respect and curiosity for the natural world. Working at the crossroads of naturalistic beliefs and tech innovation, the US designer cut his teeth at Marc Jacobs for seven years before working as part of Dries Van Noten’s design team.
