Alexander McQueen have taken it upon themselves to relieve us all of isolation boredom with a series of online challenges designed to get your creative juices going.

Titled McQueen Creators, the new initiative encourages budding designers and illustrators (though is by no means confined to the artistically gifted) to hone their skills and stay active. The first task is to sketch the famous ‘roses’ dress from McQueen’s FW19 collection, which became a centerpiece for an exhibition held in store earlier this year celebrating the house’s relationship with flora.

According to the brand’s Instagram, the rules are simple: “Find your sketchbook and chosen materials, screenshot the picture you’d like to sketch, and sketch, colour, or paint your favourite image.” Works should then be uploaded online using the hashtage #McQueenCreators, and the best will be featured across the house’s social media platforms.

The project is set to include more than just illustration, with 3D creations and embroidery challenges coming later down the line. Get practicing now.
