For a new exhibition that runs until December at Saint Laurent’s newly inaugurated concept store, Rive Droite, Anthony Vaccarello has compiled a selection of contemporary artworks to be housed at the Paris location.

GALLERY

At the former site of legendary Parisian boutique Colette, the immaculately curated space that was conceived by Vaccarello this summer will double up as a gallery. Dark Shadows comprises a cross section of different mediums, from sculpture to painting and photography, with a number of works borrowed from White Cube gallery.

On show are a set of Robert Mapplethorpe’s black and white polaroids, a splash painting by American sculptor Richard Serra, a pen drawing by the legendary Alberto Giacometti, as well as work from Ed Ruscha, Lucio Fontana and Sterling Ruby. All works are available for purchase.

This is the latest example of the concept store morphing with Vaccarello’s vision, which already included special collaborations, a treasure trove of Saint Laurent branded goodies, a fully functioning cafe and an exhibition of African art. Whatever next?

Saint Laurent Rive Droite is located at 213, Rue Saint Honoré 75001 Paris
