Founded by photographer Lola Paprocka, last year saw independent publisher Palm Studios run its inaugural Palm* photo prize, drawing together an exciting line-up of nascent talent from across diverse locations and disciplines. Now, the Prize returns for its sophomore year with a whole host of young image-makers in tow.

Having sent out an open call asking for submissions last month with the only stipulation being “an emphasis on raw, engaging work”, entries have since been filtered down into a selection of 100 shortlisted photographers. These finalists will have their work showcased at a special exhibition at the theprintspace gallery before winners will be selected by a panel of judges across four different awards: Judge’s Panel 1st place, Judge’s Panel 2nd place, People’s Choice Award, People’s Choice Instagram Award.
