Kim Jones recruits KAWS for his debut Dior campaign

Having tapped US-artist Kaws for his debut show as Artistic Director at Dior – creating a towering statue of his BFF character reimagined in 70,000 flowers as Christian Dior himself, and his pet terrier, Bobby – Kim Jones has brought back the creation for his debut Dior campaign imagery.

Photographed by Steven Meisel, the images see models – including Prince Nikolai of Denmark who opened Jones’ SS19 show – wearing the collection while posing alongside a nonchalantly laid down version of Kaws’ floral Christian Dior.

“I wanted the advertising to reflect the spirit of the men’s summer show and the beauty of Dior,” Jones told WWD. “I’ve always wanted to work with Kaws, I think he’s super chic and also his work speaks to a lot of people.”
