Kenzo has announced that its La Collection Memento collection will shift to the see-now, buy-now format, beginning with its SS19 collection – set to be presented in March.

Led by creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, the Parisian brand first launched its La Collection Memento line in March 2017 as a way of reimagining pieces in the house’s archives created by the brand’s founder Kenzo Takada.

“We are super excited to work on this project for next year,” said the creative duo. “The response over the past two years to La Collection Memento from press and customers alike has been amazing. Logistically it’s easier for us to present our main collections for KENZO in January and June, and this will remain the case, but giving customers the option to buy La Collection Memento as soon as it hits the runway is something we’re thrilled to pursue.”

Eschewing its traditional place on the PFW schedule, Kenzo is set to present its FW18 main and La Collection Memento on 7th September during NYFW in the form of a special film directed by Humberto Leon and starring Milla Jovovich, Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee, amongst others.
