The first full-length trailer for the new Alexander McQueen biopic has finally landed, offering a dramatic teaser in anticipation for the documentary’s June release.

Created by filmmakers Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, McQueen premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in April to critical acclaim. Featuring never-before-seen home movies, documentary outtakes and archival footage, the film traces the designer’s incredible career, from his East End beginnings through his CSM days using dole money to buy fabrics, and onto his incredible collections and dramatic, uncompromising catwalk shows – the likes of which had never been seen before, nor will again.

“If you leave without emotion, then I’m not doing my job properly,” McQueen says in the trailer. “I don’t want you to walk out feeling you’ve just had Sunday lunch. I want you to be repulsed or exhilarated.” Mission accomplished.

McQueen will be in cinemas on 8th June.
