What’s better than a copy of Dries Van Noten‘s epic 100 collection anniversary book? One signed by the man himself, obvs. And guess what? Next week the legendary Belgian designer will be in London signing copies at Piccadilly’s iconic bookstore, Hatchards.

Documenting 25 years of Dries’ incredible career, from show 1 to 100, the book draws together over 2000 images, detailing everything from the runway to the backstage, from the invitations to the scenography and unusual venues. And what a 100th show it was, one built around the designer’s prolific oeuvre; featuring muses from throughout his career, archive pieces reimagined, and musical sound bytes referencing past shows. Merging past present and future to create a stunningly holistic vision.

“I like the idea that this commemorates my past so that I may just focus on the future and further evolving as a designer from now,” Dries said of the book. “I originally published a book to commemorate my 50th show and so it came naturally to also do so for the 100th.”

So clear your diaries, and your bookshelves – this one deserves pride of place.

Dries Van Noten will be signing copies of his book, 1-100, at Hatchards, 187 Piccadilly, on Tuesday 28th November between 5.30PM – 7PM.
