Back to fuel our ever-growing paranoia, Netflix has revealed the return of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror via a fourth season trailer.

Netflix’s teaser trailer has gifted a first look at the cast alongside episode titles: Crocodile, Arkangel, Hang the DJ, USS Callister, Metalhead, and Black Museum. Appearances in the forthcoming series include Jesse Plemons (Fargo), Rosemarie Dewitt (La La Land), Andre Riseborough (Birdman), Georgina Campbell (Broadchurch), Maxine Peake (The Theory Of Everything), and Douglas Hodge (The Night Manager). With Jodie Foster directing the first episode, Arkangel, all we are told is that the newest season is ‘coming soon’.

First released in 2011, Black Mirror’s stand alone episodes produce alternative futures in response to the nature of modern society, particularly with regards to our interaction with new technology. The dystopian futures created by Brooker hone in on the most prescient modern technological fears including mass surveillance, artificial intelligence and cyber-bullying. What makes them so effective is their disturbing accuracy, with the premise of several episodes to some extent having come true (David Cameron and the pig, anyone?).

Stay tuned for more info including a release date.
