As a fresh and young brand, Namacheko explores the process of searching for an identity within a world filled with idiosyncratic cultures. Here, we exclusively premiere the brand’s short film showcasing its SS18 collection: due to be revealed on Friday June 23rd during Paris Fashion Week Men’s.

Originating from a richly cultural Kurdish background, Dilan and Lezan Lurr founded Namacheko in early 2015.  After moving to Sweden, they quickly absorbed the unique aspects of Western culture, whilst maintaining their loyalty to their cultural roots.

Although this contrast provided an enriched understanding, it led to a profound experience of identity-loss, which inevitably pervades throughout their work. The central aspect of this collection is the notion of the present — inspirations derive from childhood memories and search for an identity as citizens of two nations.
