This season’s Valentino man was the epitome of coolly clad. Leaving behind the military crispness of last season, FW14 embraced a softer level of tailoring, worn with casual abandon.
Perhaps it was the sneaker, donned across sportier and more refined looks alike that oozed such relaxed finesse. And of course there was no forgetting the navy, pyjama-like take on a simple suit.
There was still structure here; blocked tan and chocolate fur coats sat smoothly alongside a palette of rich plums, navy, camel and engine red, while silhouettes sat on the urban side of refined with denim jumpsuits making numerous appearances. After all, it’s that careful balance that the Valentino man relishes above all else.
