Sir Paul Smith has been a busy man for Spring Summer 14, putting on an English tailoring presentation as part of London Collections: Men, throwing a banquet in Milan of renaissance proportions, and a party earlier this week in Paris celebrating his birthday.

For the main catwalk event, on a baking hot Sunday afternoon, Triptides’ English Rain set the beat for the collection, the designer dabbling in English bohemia.

Pink is the one this season. It wasn’t just limited to the carpet as tailoring, sometimes sliced embraced the hue from powder to cerise. Those bright trousers (look 13) were a highlight as were the Magic Mushroom prints, the designer telling his man to go with it and open your mind.

If that colour isn’t your thing, you do have options with this wardrobe, with navy blue and techno prints. Just as with the cheeky funghi, there are other ways of seeing.
