Marni consistently delivers for the man who is inherently inspired to travel. Whatever destination he may find himself at, the brand constructs a line to reflect his boundless spirit.

Delivered in the label’s signature rich, earthy palette, FW18 was all about childlike wonderment and experimentation. “Connecting sights, flavours and sounds” read the show notes, and the collection proved to be an amalgamation of textures and obscure cuts. Oversized flared trousers swathed models’ legs as cropped knitted jumpers were layered over longline shirts to play around with silhouettes.

Spontaneity definitely underlined Francesco Risso’s vision this time around, as looks appeared as if they’d been pulled out of an adult’s dressing-up box but styled with finesse. Silk was seamlessly combined with fur, while multicoloured checks were paired with stripes for a collection that was both incongruous yet informed.
