School of rock

“Modern men want to dress up again.” That was John Varvatos’ comment on the current menswear climate.
But they wanted to feel relaxed doing it. And that has always been this designer’s inclination as no matter how stage the styling flourishes, the man is never worn by his clothes.
This season a dandyish vocabulary ran through, his models consumed by their own reflection as they stomped though the mirrored showspace.
For more on the Hendrix-inspired frocks, worn by the guitarist himself, check Varvatos’ Rock in Fashion tome, out later this year.
