Dsquared2 FW22 takes layered hiking gear to its literal peak
By Bailey Slater | Fashion | 15 January 2022

In typically vivid fashion, Dsquared2 kicked off men’s fashion week in Milan with an explosion of lurid hiking staples. Drunk on colour and the uninhibited globetrotting spirit of their clientele, their model mountaineers ascended dark slopes in a slew of toggle-bearing puffa coats and noisy neckwear, quite literally taking ‘loud fashion’ to its decibel-shattering peak.

Acting as an antidote to the banality of camping-camo, the Canadian twins’ acid-hued outerwear sees mustard yellows, luminescent oranges and highlighter pinks abound from chunky knitwear, or coalescing with brash plaids atop sheeny nylon puffa capes. And let’s face it, their weather conscious explorer would never get lost in the woods wearing a coral accented poncho, and if they did, the duo have fitted their backpacks with enough bells, whistles and carabiners to start a mountainside percussion band until their rescue. Play on, boys, play on.
